Product Description
Here we have a beautiful vintage Yamaha SA-700 Super Axe from Japan! This guitar is in excellent condition.
Features include a semi-hollow maple body with center block, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and dot inlays. It has Yamaha tuners with metal keystone buttons, a stop tailpiece and an adjustable saddle bridge. It’s loaded with dual humbuckers and has a multi-ply black guard.
This one is in extremely good shape for its age. Clearly the bridge pickup is changed to a DiMarzio. The finish and hardware all appear original otherwise. There is some light player wear on the guard, plus the guard looks to have curved slightly with age. The finish is very clean with a few light topical marks and faint scratches, but void of dents or issues. The hardware is in very good condition with minimal wear.
The guitar weighs 8lbs 5oz. The neck measures .800 to .940 at the 1st and 12th. It has an oval C neck that is slim but not too small. The guitar plays effortlessly with a slinky feel and plenty of sustain. It has a balanced tone with warm mids and crisp highs present acoustically. Really a great guitar in amazing shape!
Ships in the original hardshell case and includes paperwork from a previous retailer.
