2002 to Present Jackson Custom Shop & USA Select Serial Numbers

Custom Shop Randy Rhoads models have an "RR" prefix serial, while other Custom Shop neck through models have a "J" prefix serial stamped at the last fret in the fingerboard. USA Production models have a "U" prefix serial number (not the letters "UO" necessarily like earlier production years) stamped at the last fret in the fingerboard. Bolt-On guitars continue the numbered sequence on the neckplate similar to 80s and 90s instruments. As of the publishing of this article, the Jackson Guitars website has a database search function that allows you to use the serial number to look up the year of manufacture, part number, and specifications for Jackson instruments produced during the FMIC era.
