Here we have a super cool Historic Makeovers Joan Jett Replica! This faithful recreation utilized a vintage double cutaway Gibson Melody Maker as the base instrument.
Specs include a mahogany body, mahogany neck, and rosewood fretboard. The guitar has a 24.75" scale length, 1 9/16" nut width, Tune-o-matic bridge and stop tailpiece. The tuners have been changed to Schallers. The single bridge pickup is a Velvet Hammer humbucker. It has a master volume and master tone control with a 3-way toggle that works as an on/off switch. It has been refinished white and aged by Historic Makeovers.
The guitar weighs 6lbs 5oz. The neck measures .790 to 1.030 at the 1st and 12th. It has a medium C neck carve that is comfortable to play. The guitar is lively and resonant with excellent string response. It really growls when you dig in. The pickup sounds fantastic and the aging looks super authentic.
