Product Description
Here we have a cool vintage Univox U45B combo amplifier! This one is from around 1967 and is loaded with a 12" Jensen special design speaker. This 10w tube amp features volume, tone and tremolo controls on the face, three inputs for Guitar, Acc and Aux, plus a footswitch input. The amp is in good working order and has a modern 3 prong power cable. The exterior shows its age, but we still think it's in very good shape. There is a minor tolex tear on the top front edge, and the grain of the tolex shows dirt and dust in its crevices. There are other light marks and signs of age on the outside, but the handle, knobs, feet and corners are all present. The amp has a warm and round tone that is not overly bright even with the tone knob dimed. The tremolo knob controls just the speed, having a full depth at all times. The amp breaks up subtly at full full volume, or when pushed with hotter pickups, but has nice headroom. A great 12" combo with good presence that is not too loud. Vintage collectible electronic items are sold as-is. We recommend service for daily use.
