Description
This is a celluloid replacement pickguard for a 17" Gibson L-7 Acoustic Arch Top guitar. The guard is a "TruVintage" piece as made and offered by Fox Guitars. The guard is authentic in shape and style to the mid-30s and later L-7 instruments. High quality celluloid, with single ply cream binding around the edge. It was made with a rigid semi-translucent acrylic backing, which allows more light to show through the celluloid, and for added strength and stability. No holes drilled. No mounting hardware included. Never installed. Made new in 2024. Shows faint surface marks from handling.
It measures 1 1/2" wide at the neck mount and 3 3/4" wide at the bracket mount. It is 9 13/16" long on the straight side.
