Description
Here we have a cool replica Fender Broadcaster from Tom at Tosch. Toschcase is well known for their reproduction '50s Fender cases, along with other aging and restoration projects.
This guitar features traditional specs like an ash body, maple neck, single ply black guard and dual pickups. It has brass saddles, Kluson tuners, a 7.25" radius, and a Fender Broadcaster logo. The guitar is heavily aged throughout with finish checking, fretboard wear, oxidized hardware, and a well-worn pickguard.
This one weighs 6lbs 13oz. The neck measures .910 to .990 at the 1st and 12th. It has a deep, rounded profile without too much shoulder that is quite comfortable. The guitar plays evenly up and down the neck. It's punchy, loud, and twangy off the body, really just a lively instrument. It's competently built and certainly gives off vintage Tele vibes. We're told the neck was made by Rufini Guitars, and that this instrument was put together and aged as a passion project by Tosch. The pickups and parts are mostly unmarked however, so please study the photos.
Overall this is a very nice replica, on par with other boutique builds, and one that comes from a brand well-versed in '50s Teles. Ships in a Fender tweed thermometer case that has been heavily aged.
