Description
Here we have a Suhr Pete Thorn signature model Standard! This guitar is in excellent condition and sports a Garnet Red finish.
Specs include a chambered mahogany body, maple top, mahogany neck, and rosewood fretboard. It has a 10" to 14" compound radius with stainless steel jumbo fret wire and a 1.650" nut width. It has a Thornbucker neck pickup with a Thornbucker Plus bridge pickup, both with raw nickel covers. The tone is push-pull for parallel bridge pickup and it has a 5-way switch for humbucker and single coil selection. The bridge is a Wilkinson WVS130 two post with locking saddles. The top finish has a touch of flip flop to it, vacillating between bright ruby red metallic and dark near black cherry. The back of the guitar is black with a satin neck.
The guitar is in excellent shape overall. There are a few long light scratches on the top near the bass side cutaway. There are some other topical marks and light signs of playing and handling but no real damage. The raw nickel covers show a bit of patina about them too.
This one weighs 7lbs 8oz. The neck measures .800 to .880 at the 1st and 12th. It is the Suhr even C slim neck carve that feels just like it sounds. The guitar has excellent sustain and growls a bit when you dig in. It has nice natural reverb and resonance, we assume from the sound chamber. It has woody mahogany tone and good clarity clarity while playing with the surgical precision Suhr is known for.
Ships in the original hardshell case and includes the build sheet, tremolo arm, a Pete Thorn pick, fret protector, extra saddle locking screws and hang tags.
