Here we have a Rick Kelly Bowery Pine Mini T-Style electric guitar! This little guy is in excellent condition.
Specs include a reclaimed pine body, reclaimed pine neck, rosewood board, 21 frets, Deluxe tuners, Bill Lawrence bridge, compensated brass saddles, brass guard and brass control plate. The guitar has a 22.5” scale length and sports a single T-style bridge pickup. The neck has a 1 7/8” nut width, with a rather large D shaped profile.
The vibe of these is rough hewn, oil finish, bare bones, etc. The guitar’s components are lightly aged out of the gate too. This one doesn’t show much in the way of player wear, beyond whatever Rick put into it.
It weighs 5lbs 14oz. The neck measures .970 to .880 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has a giant D shaped neck that is a bit thicker down by the nut as it transitions into the headstock than it is up near the neck joint. The guitar is definitely a little rough and ready, but it oozes vibe and we love that it’s built from reclaimed NYC pine. The large neck, both in nut width and depth, is not for the faint of heart, but to be honest it’s not the largest Rick Kelly neck we’ve had. The guitar plays really nice with good resonance. We also think this is the perfect thing to setup for lap steel or slide.
