Here we have a super cool Carmine Street Guitars Bowery Pine Series instrument from Rick Kelly Custom Guitars! This Snakehead model is built right here in New York City from reclaimed white pine.
Specs include a knotty pine body, pine neck, Kluson Deluxe strip tuners and vintage style bridge with brass saddles. It has a traditional T-Style single coil pickup complement, an aluminum guard and traditional T control layout. It boasts a massive neck profile with a 1 3/4” nut and traditional 25.5” scale length.
This guitar weighs 7lbs 7oz. The neck measures .980 to .1070 at the 1st and 12th. No, that is not a typo, this thing has a huge, rounded neck that seems unbelievable at first, but plays quite well. It’s not for the faint of heart, but also allows you to just relax your hand and navigate the board with ease. The guitar has a rough and ready feel, and though most likely sealed, feels finish-free. We dig the components and overall aesthetic, plus we’re please to offer a New York City instrument built from reclaimed New York lumber.
