2011 PRS Santana II Signature Model Gold Top

An earlier version of the longstanding signature model for Carlos Santana from PRS, in a now discontinued Gold Top finish. This model features the pre-factory body shape with the top purfling, which has been occasionally absent on the model, and the prominent top carve. The neck features the larger heel, Santana neck shape, 2011 bird fretboard inlays, 3 ply custom truss rod cover, and the original headstock shape with the solid bird inlay. This particular model year has the short lived control lay out with the volume close to the pickup, more akin to a Strat's volume position. The pickup set is the Santana in the treble and bass positions, with the PRS signature tremolo bridge and locking open gear tuners.

The guitar is in fabulous shape for being well over a decade old. There is a small ding on the edge of the top near the strap button and some slight lacquer delamination around the strap buttons, as well as some very faint clouding in the clear around the neck heel and the treble side horn. The hardware is well tarnished, particularly the pickup covers, and in conjunction with patina of the finish and hue of gold it gives the guitar a pretty cool look. It almost has the vibe of a VOS '57 reissue Les Paul from the Gibson Custom Shop. It ships in the original case with the tremolo arm.
