2022 PRS DGT 10-Top Purple Iris

The latest iteration of the longstanding PRS signature model for David Grissom, of Austin Texas. The model is based on the McCarty platform, with a few key features. The electronics configuration is a key stand out from the rest of the PRS line. A specially voiced set of DGT pickups are fed into a volume control for each pickup and a master tone, with a push-pull on the tone to split the pickups. The neck shape is custom to this model as is the fret size, yielding smooth playability in conjunction with the precision set up possible on PRS guitars. This most recent version of the DGT features the latest developments from PRS: Gen III Tremolo, Phase III locking tuners, and Nitro Cellulose finish.

This particular instrument is dressed up in the fine looking Purple Iris finish, now discontinued, over a 10 grade curly maple top. The figuring on the top is nice and wide, with great consistency across. The stain really sets off the figuring on this one. The Hybrid Hardware looks great as well, with the brass touches in all the right places, and the tuners have the ivoroid buttons. The iconic bird inlays are of abalone outlined in ivoroid, a really sharp look on the classic fretboard inlay. The guitar is in overall great condition, with a very light scratch in the clear on the back and another in the treble cutaway. The hardware has the faintest bit of tarnish as well.
