Description
Here we have a cool old Pedulla MVP 4-string fretted bass! The one is from 1986 and is in good condition overall.
Specs include neck through construction with a 3-piece maple neck, solid figured maple body wings, an ebony board, brass nut, and Shchaller tuners. It has a 1.5” nut width and a 34” scale length. The bridge is a top loader with adjustable saddles and 19mm string spacing.
This one took some sort of hit to the side that cracked the body near the jack and controls. The crack is old and looks to be stable. One knob is missing and the truss rod cover is missing, as well as a couple screws from the back plate. There are dings and play wear across the instrument, as well as a few small paint chips, and all of the parts show a light patina. The frets are in good shape with a hint of wear. The LED doesn’t light up, and the electronics show signs of re-soldering.
It weighs 8lbs 10oz. The neck measures .810 to .910 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has a rounded C neck with a prominent apex down low. It’s well-balanced and plays easily up and down the register. We also dig the early copper-bottom Bartolini set. A very fun bass with some cool battle scars.
