Product Description
Here we have an early 50s Blackguard replica from Nacho Guitars. This 2022 model is in excellent condition, aged by the Tele expert himself: Nacho Banos.
This one is serial number 0377 on the bridge plate. The body date is TG 6/3/52 and the control cavity tape reads Gloria 5/19/52. The maple neck has a 9.5" radius with medium 95/47 frets, and an early to mid 1950s medium C neck profile. The neck measures .810 to .920 at the 1st and 12th. The guitar weighs 7lbs 6oz with the bridge cover on.
This ash body nitro blonde finish guitar is wonderfully aged. The authentic-looking wear and checking are some of the best we've seen. It's dirty in the right ways without being overly done. The black lacquered guard is also convincingly aged, reminiscent of true Blackguards to which this guitar pays tribute.
Tonally the guitar is familiar, meant to be an exacting vintage-esque build of the iconic Telecaster. This one plays effortlessly, with the fingerboard easily navigated, and the strings responding dynamically under the picking hand. It has a woody ash punch off the body with nice clarity and a touch of twang. The neck profile is surprisingly not large, but comfortable and feels right at home in your hand.
The guitar includes the bridge cover, build sheet, COA, and other original goodies, along with the original tweed hardshell case.
