Here we have a very nice MTD432-21 from Michael Tobias Design! This MTD was built in the USA in 2022 and is in excellent condition.
Specs include a roasted ash body, Jelutong top, maple neck, and old growth rosewood board. It has a 32" scale with 21 frets, true double acting truss rod, and Luminlay side dots. It has the Buzz Feiten Tuning System along with custom Bartolini pickups, a Hipshot bridge, and Hipshot tuners. Curiously the back of the headstock is labeled 532-21 along with the serial #3663.
The controls are master volume (push/pull a/p) and a pan pot, passive tone, mid (push/pull 400/800), stacked treble/bass cut and boost, with center click (from neck to bridge). The three position switches select series/single coil/parallel for each pickup. There is a trim pot inside the control cavity to adjust the gain.
Overall this one is in excellent condition with no real dents or damage. It does not appear to have been played much at all. The urethane finish on these is pretty resilient. The hardware all looks quite new as do the frets.
The bass weighs 7lbs 4oz. The neck measures .820 to .880 at the 1st and 12th. It's a slimmer D shaped neck with a nice shoulder, but not too much depth. The bass plays effortlessly and we love the 32" scale. It's woody, punchy, and warm with nice clarity and loads of sustain. Really just a finely built and great-sounding example.
Ships in the original gig bag and includes the original strings, mini-led light for charging the Luminalys, MTD Fretwrap, and paperwork.
