Here we have a great playing 2023 Maruszczyk Instruments Elwood 4p 32” bass guitar! This one features a 32” scale length and a Turquoise nitro finish.
Other specs include an alder body, hard rock maple neck, East Indian rosewood fingerboard, block inlays and a bound neck. It has 21 frets with a zero fret, and Hipshot tuners with the low E Xtender. It’s loaded with Delano JC4 AL/M2 pickups and has a John East J-Retro preamp installed.
This one is in excellent condition. It appears the preamp is an aftermarket upgrade, but the other parts look original. There is some faint play wear across the instrument as well as a handful of small dings on the back. The dings are mostly superficial and mainly noticeable when the light catches. Otherwise it presents pretty clean.
The bass weighs 8lbs 9oz. The neck measures .800 to .900 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has a D shaped profile with a full shoulder and medium depth. It has a 1.5” nut width and 19mm string spacing. The bass plays great, we love the shorter scale length and find it really easy to navigate. The response under the right hand is excellent and the entire instrument has very good resonance and sustain.
