Description
Here is a very nice Martin GPC-16E Rosewood acoustic-electric guitar! This cutaway model is in excellent condition and plays great.
Spec include a Grand Performance 14-fret body with 000 depth, simple dovetail neck joint, forward shifted X brace, and scalloped braces. It has a spruce top with East Indian rosewood back and sides. It has a select hardwood neck with mahogany stain, a 1 3/4" nut width and a 25.4" scale length. It comes loaded with Fishman Matrix VT Enhance onboard electronics.
The guitar is in excellent shape and does not appear to have been played much. There is a small finish mark near the bass side of the fretboard extension and a few player marks on the guard. The back of the neck feels subtly more glossy from playing than the rest of the satin back finish. There is a topical mark on the neck behind the 10th fret and a few other light signs of handling across the instrument.
This one weighs 4lbs 6oz. The neck measures .850 to .920 at the 1st and 10th. The guitar has Martin's Modified Low Oval shape with High Performance Taper, which is essentially a slimmer, modern C with a hint of an apex. It's quite comfortable and the guitar navigates easily. It produces an authentic and quite pleasing Martin acoustic tone. It has great volume and depth of sound with plenty of resonance.
Overall a finely built instrument with highly useful electronics for live and studio performance. Ships in the original padded Martin gig bag and includes the original paperwork.
