Here we have a special 2003 Martin Musician's Friend 20th Anniversary Model! This one is number 4 of 30 and it is in very good condition.
This 000 is a Custom Shop build with 14 frets clear of the body, a spruce top, mahogany neck, micarta board, micarta bridge and rosewood back & sides. It has a bound neck with small dot inlays, a pearl rosette, and a small tortoise guard. The top and back have tortoise binding with white and black purfling. It is an X-braced instrument with scalloped braces. It has a 24.9" scale and a 1 11/16" nut width.
The guitar has been played but well cared for. It has a few faint dings on the top, as well as a few light surface scratches and scuffs over the body. The neck is more glossy from playing than the satin feel it had when it left the factory. The guard shows light scratches from playing as well.
This one weighs 4lbs 6oz. The neck measures .810 to .920 at the 1st and 9th frets. It has a medium C shape, though it feels like it has an asymmetrical carve for higher performance. As you'd expect, this one has plenty of resonance and sustain. The top drives easily and the guitar has a warm bass note with clear treble top end. It's really a classic 000 sound and a guitar that is nicely appointed.
Ships in the original hardshell case and includes the hang tag.
