Description
Here we have a very nice Kurt Wilson Korina Explorer! This guitar is handmade in the US and it is in excellent condition overall.
Specs include a korina body, 3 piece korina neck, and rosewood fretboard. It has a 24.75" scale length, 12" radius, and 1 11/16" nut width. The tuners are Gotoh and it has a Tune-o-matic bridge with stop tailpiece. The pickups are JS Moore V-59 PAF copies.
The guitar is in excellent shape without any real damage. There are light pick marks on the guard and some faint signs of handling and playing. There are a few tiny pinpoint dings and maybe the initial sign of some checking near the bridge pickup when examined closely.
This one weighs 9lbs. The neck measures .920 to 1.000 at the 1st and 12th. It has a full 50s carve that isn't too big, but reminds us of a proper vintage neck. The guitar is lively and resonant with nice sustain. It has the clarity and color Korina is known for without the woofiness mahogany versions of this shape can have. It plays well in all positions and is truly a competent representation of a classic model!
Ships in the original hardshell case.
