Here we have a beautiful Jens Ritter Instruments R8-Singlecut 4-string bass guitar! This master grade instrument is in excellent condition overall.
It features an alder body, maple neck, ebony fingerboard and his Carrara Frosted finish. It has a 33.3” scale length, 1.5” nut width and vintage 4 string spacing (60mm-30mm). The pickups are Ritter Triplebuckers and the bass is loaded with C-3-S active/passive 3-band electronics.
This one appears to have been carefully played, and mostly case-kept since built. There are a few light signs of handling, but nothing in the way of player damage. There are a couple of spots where the case foam has left topical residue on the bass but this appears to be mostly superficial.
The bass weighs 8lbs 3oz. The neck measures .770 to .960 at the 1st and 12th. It’s wonderfully sculpted and crafted. The instrument is well-balanced and plays effortlessly. The string response is excellent and the bass actually has quite a familiar feel in your hands. Truly a functional work of art.
It ships in the original Ritter flight case and includes the paperwork, lanyard, tools and pouch.
