Product Description
Here we have a vintage 1966 Hagstrom II electric guitar!
It features a double cutaway body with bolt-on maple neck, rosewood fretboard, and pearl dot inlays. It has a multi-ply black guard, dual single coil pickups and a complement of switching options. The bridge is a metal rail with adjustable height and this model features Hagstrom's Tremar tremolo system.
The guitar is in good shape with scratches, dings and paint chips over its surface. There is an area of heavy scratching at the forearm contour. The finish on the back of the neck is pretty much gone and has the subtle feel of raw maple. The small frets look to be in good playable condition. The on/off switch and the mute switch seem to be disabled, but the individual pickup switches, tone switch and volume knob function correctly.
The guitar weighs in at 6lbs 9oz. The neck measures .760 to .795 at the 1st and 12th. It has a very slim C neck with a narrow 1 9/16" nut. The guitar plays quite well with an excellent string response. It growls when you dig in and is pretty fun to jam on overall. The pickups are clear and spanky and will break up a bit when you drive them.
Ships in a modern Fender gig bag. It is missing the tremolo arm.
