Description
The G6129T-59 Vintage Select '59 Silver Jet is part of Gretsch's Vintage Select Edition — a line built to reflect the construction methods and materials of the late 1950s and early 1960s. This model is based on the Silver Jet, the silver-sparkle variant of the Duo Jet, and is made in Japan.
The body is chambered mahogany with an arched laminated maple top, a construction approach that allows air to move between the top and body. The neck is mahogany with an ebony fingerboard, a Vintage "V" profile, 22 medium jumbo frets, and a 24.6" scale length. Nut width is 1.6875".
TV Jones Filter'Tron Classics
Both the neck and bridge positions are loaded with TV Jones Filter'Tron Classic pickups — a design rooted in the original Filter'Tron that first appeared on Gretsch guitars in 1959. Controls include individual volume knobs for each pickup, a master volume, G-Arrow knobs, and a 3-position tone switch alongside the standard 3-position toggle.
