Here we have a Gretsch Brian Setzer Hot Rod in Candy Blue Burst! This Signature Model 6120 is a bare bones rockabilly machine!
Built in Japan in 2020, this one features a full hollow maple body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard, and Bigsby B6 tailpiece. The pickups are dual TV Jones Setzer Filter'Trons. The simplified appointments also include a single master volume knob and 3-way switch.
The guitar is in excellent condition. There is some oxidation on the metal parts, as well as faint marks from handling. No dents or damage. The truss rod cover has been changed out for a Blazing Dice version, the original is not included.
This one weighs 6lbz 14oz. The neck measures .840 to .920 at the 1st and 9th. The neck has a modern C profile without too much shoulder, but with a faint hint of a V at the apex down low. The guitar is loud and resonant acoustically. It has a nice mid-range bite with good clarity. It plays evenly up and down the board. Hot Rod is a good way to describe the model!
