17" Hollow Body Falcon in Black with Chrome Hardware
The Gretsch Falcon Hollow Body is a fully hollow, single-cutaway guitar built on a 17"-wide, 2.5"-deep laminated maple body with Arc-Tone bracing. This Black finish configuration is paired with silver sparkle binding and W/B/W/B purfling, with chrome hardware throughout. Made in Japan.
The neck is maple with a Standard “U” profile, set into the body, with a 25.5" scale length and a 1.6875" nut width. The ebony fingerboard has rolled edges, a 12" radius, 22 medium jumbo frets, pearloid neo-classic thumbnail inlays, and Luminlay side dots. The nut is Graph Tech TUSQ XL.
PRO-FT Filter'Tron Pickups & Controls
Neck and bridge positions each carry a PRO-FT Filter'Tron humbucking pickup. The control layout includes individual volume knobs for each pickup, a master volume with treble bleed circuit, and a master no-load tone control with a “Squeezebox” capacitor. Pickup selection is via a 3-position toggle. Knobs are G-Arrow style.
Hardware & Appointments
Hardware is chrome throughout. The tailpiece is a Bigsby B6GP in a string-thru configuration, paired with an Adjusto-Matic bridge on a pinned ebony base. Tuners are Grover Imperial locking, and Grover strap locks are included. The pickguard is silver plexi with a silver Gretsch logo and Falcon graphic. Comes with a G6242L Gretsch 17" deluxe hollow body hardshell case.
