Gibson SG Special 1993 - Classic White

Here we have an awesome Gibson USA SG Special from 1993! This one sports a classic white finish and a 5-ply black guard.

Other specs include a mahogany body, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, and dot inlays. It has deluxe tuners with keystone buttons, an ABR-1 bridge and a stop tailpiece. It’s loaded with dual open coil black humbuckers.

This guitar is in very good shape for its age. It has been played a lot, but carefully. The guard shows a heavy amount of pick wear when the light catches it. The finish has a few pinpoint dings over its surface and a few topical marks, but no major damage. The hue has aged to a creamy yellowish white (it almost looks like it will glow in the dark if you turn off the lights!). The body edges are subtly and naturally worn and show the original classic white peaking through the clearcoat. The back of the neck has faint discoloration where the neck rests in the cradle of the case.

The guitar weighs in right at 7lbs. The neck measures .790 to .960 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has a medium/thin neck that is somewhere between a slim D and an oval C in profile. The guitar rips. It sounds fantastic and plays great in every way. We love how simple the spec is, but how cool the results are. This one is in really fine shape, and hails from a golden era of Gibson production.
