Product Description
Here we have a vintage 1979 Gibson RD Artist electric guitar! This vintage build sports an ebony finish.
Specs include a maple body, maple neck, ebony board, block inlays and gold hardware. This one has a 25.5" scale length and a 1 5/8" nut width. It has a TP6 tailpiece with fine adjusters, a tune-o-matic bridge and Schaller tuners.
The guitar is in pretty good shape overall. It shows pick marks on the guard, as well as light topical scratches over its surface. There are a handful of dings over the body as well. The frets show a hint of wear down low. The gold hardware shows some light wear but is still quite brilliant. There is no major damage and no exposed wood however, and beyond Schaller strap buttons it appears to be original.
It weighs in at 9lbs 4oz. The neck measures .760 to .890 at the 1st and 12th. It has a slimmer C neck profile, but not too thin with a consistent depth and feel most of the way up. The guitar has good clarity with a tight low end and good mid-range bite. Overall a fun player loaded with Moog electronics!
Ships in the original hardshell case.
