Product Description
Here we have a cool vintage Melody Maker from Gibson! This 1964 model is a double cutaway variant with two pickups and a vibrola tailpiece.
Other specs include a mahogany body, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and dot inlays. It has Kluson strip tuners with white buttons and a lightning bar compensated bridge. It has a normal 25 3/4” Gibson scale length with a 1 11/16” nut width.
The guitar is in good condition with checking, light scratches and small dings over its surface. The tuners are replacements, but the original are included with the instrument. It appears to be in original condition otherwise.
This one weighs in right 6lbs. The neck measures .790 to 1.010 at the 1st and 12th. It has a medium C neck profile down low that fills out into a larger rounded C up near the neck joint. The guitar is fun to play with a warm, mellow mahogany tone and good sound movement throughout the body. The frets show light wear down low but it plays just fine. Overall a neat and accessible vintage instrument!
Ships in the original cardboard case and includes the original tuning machines.
