Here we have a vintage 1972 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Goldtop! This guitar is in very good condition and includes the hang tag.
It features a mahogany body, 3 piece mahogany neck, maple top, and rosewood fretboard. It has a pancake body with a center seam visible around the perimeter. The tuners are Gibson Deluxe double ring units, and the pickups are mini-humbuckers with the Gibson logo on the cover.
This guitar appears to be all original. It is in very good shape with light checking over the top and back. There is a patch of light buckle wear on the back, mostly visible when the light catches. There are a number of dings on the top, sides and back of the body, as well as a notable ding on the back of the neck. There is no major damage and no breaks. The frets are original and show faint wear, but look good ultimately.
The guitar weighs 9lbs 14oz. The neck measures .780 to .960 at the 1st and 10th. It's a very slim C neck, rounded and thin down low, but one that thickens slightly up the register. The guitar plays well, it's easy to navigate the board and it feels slinky when bending or playing faster licks. It's moderately resonant with a warm woodiness off the body, but still nice clarity. A nice example of an early '70s Deluxe!
Ships in the original hardshell case and includes the hang tag which has the warranty info filled out by the original dealer.
