Description
Here we have an awesome 50th Anniversary 1968 Les Paul Goldtop! This guitar is from a limited run in 2018, heavily aged by the Custom Shop.
Specs include a mahogany body, mahogany neck, and rosewood fretboard. It has dual P-90 pickups, double ring deluxe tuners, a stop tailpiece and an ABR-1 bridge with nylon saddles. Other period correct features include the pearl inlays with rounded corners and silver insert top hat knobs.
The guitar is really a reissue of a reissue, 1968 being the re-introduction of the carved maple top Les Paul model after an 8 year hiatus. Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of this reintroduction in 2018, the Custom Shop issued this model with a heavily aged finish, one of the nicest aging packages we've encountered from Gibson.
It weighs in at 9lbs 5oz. The neck measures .880 to 1.020 at the 1st and 12th. It has a full rounded C neck, not too deep, and without too much shoulder. It has excellent resonance and sustain. It has a thick and woody tone off the body with nice top end clarity. It feels good under the picking hand and is quite fun to play!
Ships in the original case and includes the COA, hang tags, reproduction Gibson Gazette, picks, extra toggle switch plate, and warranty card.
