Here we have a Gibson Custom Shop ’61 SG Standard electric guitar! This one features a Forest Green refinish that was done by the Schecter Custom Shop.
Specs include a mahogany body, mahogany neck, rosewood board, trapezoid inlays, double ring Kluson tuners, ABR-1 bridge, and stop tailpiece. It’s loaded with a set of Custombucker pickups and the nickel hardware has the factory Custom Shop VOS patina.
This guitar was sent to the Schecter Custom Shop where it was refinished from its original cherry red to the forest green hue you now see. The red dye is still visible in areas under the current green, which is also subtly translucent enough to see wood grain underneath. The color gives off almost an aged pelham blue vibe interestingly enough. The back of the neck has a satin feel while the rest of the guitar is gloss. All of the parts appear original to the instrument. There are some light dings and player marks on guitar though no major damage.
It weighs 6lbs 4oz. The neck measures .860 to .980 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has a rounded C neck carve with a full shoulder. It has excellent resonance and plays easily up and down the neck. The finish work is expertly done too, and the instrument has a really cool vibe.
Ships in the original hardshell case and includes the COA, hang tags, and paperwork.
