2017 Gibson Custom Shop 1961 SG Les Paul Reissue with Maestro Vibrola tailpiece

A beautiful '61 SG reissue from The Custom Shop in a classic Cherry red VOS finish, with the Maestro tailpiece that is a somewhat rarer feature from the Custom Shop. This era reissue SG features and all hide glue construction and Custom Bucker pickups. The hardware has a nice amount of tarnish that matches well with the subtle patina of the VOS finish.

The instrument is in overall very good condition, with a bit of play wear and signs of handling. There are two small chips on either side of the head stock from a guitar hanger, as well as a small chip on the edge of the bass side waist and an oblong ding on the outer edge of the treble side horn. The back has a fair amount of faint scratches in clear as well as a small ding near the out edge by the control cavity and a pair of dings centered on the back approximately a third of the way up the body from the end pin. The binding has a mild amount of bleed from the stain that is ubiquitous on these guitars and a tiny line of lacquer checking at 21st fret on the bass side. In nice shape, but not so nice that you have to worry about gigging with the guitar, and it will age nicely with you the more you play it
