Here we have a cool 2010 Gibson Custom Shop '60 Les Paul Reissue! This ebony finish black lacquer guitar is part of a Sam Ash run built during the 50th Anniversary of the '60 Les Paul.

Specs include a mahogany body, mahogany neck, carved maple top, and rosewood fretboard. The pickups are updated to a set of unpotted Custombuckers, with an uncovered bridge and nickel cover neck. The bridge posts have been changed to Nashville style with inserts set into the body that the posts thread into. The bridge is an ABR-1 with retaining wire. The pots and caps look original, though the jack plate is changed to metal. The tuners are double line, single ring units that look original. The pickguard and control knobs are newer Gibson parts.

The VOS patina is still present in some ways, though this guitar was clearly someone's main axe for a while. It has light marks, scratches, and swirls over its entire surface. There are a handful of small dings and long light scratches randomly too. There is the hint of exposed wood at the control cavity edges, but otherwise there are no large dents or paint chips. The frets are in good shape with almost a hint of wear down low, but nothing major.

This one weighs in right at 9lbs. The neck measures .840 to .940 at the 1st and 12th. It has a classic Gibson slim taper feel to it, sort of a slimmer D shape with a nice shoulder and an apex that just barely flattens out. It has a consistent shape and feel all the way right up to the neck heel transition. It feels good under the picking hand and the string response is quite dynamic. It has an even tone with woodiness and top end clarity. It plays evenly up and down the board and bends easily.

Ships in the original hardshell case and includes the COA, hang tags, warranty card and other paperwork.
