Here we have a beautiful 2023 '59 Les Paul from Gibson Custom Shop! This one features a wonderful top that is strong from all angles, and sports an Iced Tea VOS finish.
This R9 features the traditional specs: mahogany body, mahogany neck, maple top, rosewood fingerboard, full hide glue construction, trapezoid fingerboard inlays, dual unpotted Custombucker pickups, ABR-1 bridge, Kluson tuners, and nickel hardware.
This particular guitar is in excellent condition, and appears to have been case kept. The top is a strong ribbon curl with hard rock Eastern maple flecks in it. It weighs in right at 9lbs. The neck measures .880-1.010 at the 1st and 12th.
The guitar is fairly open and resonant with nice clarity. It has a balanced eq with a woody punch off the body, and is a bit more focused with less ethereal overtones. The neck has a good vintage C shape to it, round and comfortable down low with a touch of a fatter shoulder up high.
Overall an excellent condition and excellent-looking piece! Ships in the original case and includes the COA, hang tags, additional toggle switch plate, and white switch tip.
