Here we have a 2019 Gibson Custom Shop ’59 Les Paul that went to Historic Makeovers in 2020 for their Deluxe Package. This is a wonderfully aged guitar that features a set of ReWind pickups.
Specs include a figured maple top, mahogany body, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard. It has trapezoid inlays, 22 frets, a 12” radius and a 24.75” scale length. It features a double cream set of the ReWind PAF-1 pickups, an expertly aged lacquer finish and aged historically correct parts.
This one weighs in right at 8lbs. The neck measures .850 to .980 at the 1st and 12th. It has a nice C neck carve without too much shoulder. It is vintage feeling but not too deep either. The fingerboard is dark and rich and the top is highly figured with a strong flame from all angles. The guitar is very slinky and resonant. It growls when you dig in with the right hand and the guitar is easy to play and bend on. The mojo is real!
