Here we have a nicely figured 2015 Gibson Custom Shop ’58 Standard Historic! This one is in good condition overall with a set of Grover tuners installed.
Specs include a figured maple top, mahogany body, mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. It has a stop tailpiece with an ABR-1 bridge. It’s loaded with a set of Custombucker pickups.
The tuners are changed to Grovers as mentioned and the original holes are visible on the back of the headstock. The guitar has a number of light dings and plenty of topical scratches over its surface. There are light pick marks on the top too. Being a VOS guitar, the finish and hardware have a nice patina about them. The knobs have light cracks internally but seem stable. There is light red dye bleed on the neck binding which is common in this era. There is a little patch of lacquer chipping at the fingerboard edge of the 1st fret on the bass side.
The guitar weighs 8lbs 12oz. The neck measures .900 to 1.000 at the 1st and 12th. It has a full rounded profile with a medium shoulder. This guitar plays great, and really growls when you dig in. It has a nice woody mid-range with a crisp attack and plenty of sustain. A really fine example with a nice top!
Ships in the original hardshell case and includes the COA, warranty card and extra toggle switch plate.
