Here we have an awesome-looking '57 Goldtop that was aged by Bill Nash in 2013. The donor guitar is a 2000 Gibson Custom Shop build that was meticulously hand aged to give it a well-worn vintage vibe. The dings, checking, neck wear, and aged parts are super-convincing and rival any other aged guitar we've seen.

The electronics have been modified pretty much entirely, though the rest of the parts appear to be the original correct Gibson parts. The bridge pickup is a DiMarzio DP193N Air Norton, and the neck pickup is a DiMarzio DP163N Bluesbucker. The pots are upgraded long-shaft components, and the caps are two orange drops. Beyond the aging, the guitar looks to be in great functional condition. The original frets look great.

This guitar, like most early 2000s R7 models, has a big round neck on it measuring .920 at the 1st and 1.010 at the 12th. It's full and round, not too much shoulder, with the slightest hint of flattening out at the apex down low. The guitar is a tone monster: open, resonant, fully alive. Plays quite slinky, easy to dig into with the picking hand, and simple to navigate the board. The guitar weighs in at 9lbs 3oz.
