2018 Gibson Custom Shop 1957 Les Paul Custom

A sharp historic spec '57 Custom in a custom color, a beautifully antiqued Pelham Blue. By 2018 the Custom Shop had arrived at the most accurate reissue specs which carry through to the current production. Complete hide glue construction, long neck tenon, tubelss truss rod, nylon nut, customer bucker pickup sets with the bumble bee capacitors, as well as al the aesthetic minutiae of a 50s guitar. The antiquing on the guitar really blends the binding into the look of the aged Pelham Blue and accentuates the VOS finish. The waffle back tuners, block fretboard inlays, multiply body binding, and split diamond headstock inlay give the iconic look of the Custom so loved by all guitar players.

The instrument is in overall excellent condition with minor play wear and signs of handling. The gold hardware has light tarnish and pitting in places, with the gold worn way in a few spots to nice match the lightly aged appearance of the VOS finish. There is a light scratch neat the bridge volume control as well as two very light dings on the back near the end pin. The area of the neck join has some lacquer checking on either side and the control plate has a few light scratches.
