Here is a very nice 2021 Gibson Custom Shop '54 Les Paul Flame Top VOS. This guitar was custom-ordered by The Music Zoo in their exclusive Orange Drop finish, a Beauty of the Burst color.
Features include a flame maple top, mahogany body, mahogany neck, and rosewood fretboard. It has a wraparound tailpiece, Deluxe tuners and gold speed knobs. It's loaded with a set of P-90 pickups.
The guitar is in very good shape with a light VOS patina from the factory. There are two pinpoint dings behind the bridge, with a few faint dings on the back edge and a little lacquer chip on the headstock edge from a hanging hook. There is also an area above the control cavity with pinpoint stippling that is mainly noticeable when the light catches, and a faint scratch at the bottom of the backplate. Otherwise, the guitar has a new-ish look about it.
It weighs in at 8lbs 15oz. The neck measures .880 to .990 at the 1st and 12th. It's a full, rounded C profile with a good shoulder. The guitar is snappy with a biting mid range and good top end. There's not a ton of sound movement through the body, but it has a dynamic feel off of the wrap around tailpiece and it sustains for days. Overall a great looking and playing M2M build!
