Here we have a Gemtone Amplifier built by Bob McGilpin in 2013. This Ruby Tube model is a 5w tweed Champ replica. The amp was included in the TJ Martell 2013 Honors Gala, a foundation event bringing the music community together to fight cancer. The amp is signed by a number of folks on the exterior including Callie Khori, Claire Bowen, Chip Eston, Eric Close, T Bone Burnette, Kenny Chesney, Keb' Mo', Amy Grant, Tony Brown, Jeff Bridges and Susan Bridges.
On the inside it appears to be a competent build loaded with JJ tubes and a Mojotone American Vintage 8" speaker. The amp is in excellent shape and great working condition. It has a clear and woody sound, not too boxy, breaking up at around 8 on the volume. Measures approximately 9x15x14. A very nice little Champ copy!
