Here we have a brand new Fodera Emperor Elite 5-String bass guitar! This one features a hand-selected quilt top and is finished in Bora Blueburst.
Specs include neck through construction, a solid ash body, a flame maple tone block, 3-piece maple neck, birdseye maple fingerboard, and a matching quilt maple headstock veneer with a maple/holly butterfly. This is a 24 fret bass with large wire, abalone block inlays, abalone side dots, maple pickup covers, and a satin finish. It has a 34” scale length, 1 3/4” nut width, and 17.5mm string spacing.
This Emperor weighs 9lbs 2oz. The neck measures .800 to .920 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has an oval C neck profile that paired with the satin finish feels just about perfect in the hand. We selected the quilt top ourselves at the factory, so naturally we think it looks great. The pickups are a set of Fodera / Duncan Dual Coils with 70s spacing customized with maple covers. The electronics are their custom Fodera / Trickfish 3-band v.4 setup which functions flawlessly across a number of live and studio applications.
