Product Description
Here we have an incredible vintage 1960 Fender Vibrasonic Amp! This rare 40 watt brown-panel tube amplifier features a 15” JBL speaker with the 5G13 circuit. It is stamped JC on the tube chart and is serial number 00030. It has 6L6 power tubes, 12AX7 preamp tubes, and dual channels each with Bass, Treble and Volume controls. There is also a presence control, plus as the model name suggests, the amp has built-in harmonic vibrato. We absolutely love brown panel Fender amps, and this is one of the finest sounding we’ve had. It’s a true survivor that is in very good condition overall, and great functioning order, with the ungrounded 2-prong power cable still installed. We recommend service for daily use, including a grounded 3-prong power cable and capacitor replacement. This amp has a warm and rich sound with excellent clarity, plenty of bass response and nice presence from the 15” speaker. The vibrato is indeed harmonic and musical, a really wonderful effect that adds a nice dimension to the overall tone.
