Product Description
Here we have a vintage player’s Tele from 1978! This one is a true road worn instrument that probably has many stories to tell!
Specs include an ash body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, dot inlays, vintage style bridge and F tuners. It has a multiply black guard, standard control layout and steel saddles. It’s loaded with the original single coil pickups.
The body shows plenty of finish cracks, chips into the wood, deep scratches, patina and wear. There’s a few spots where some touchup was manually applied. The back of the neck has finish delamination, with the poly finish missing from the nut to the 6th fret on the bass side, as well as on the back of the headstock in places. The electronics, bridge and tuners appear to be original. The guitar was refretted at some point and the end pin is changed.
This guitar weighs 8lbs 13oz. The neck measures .820 to .920 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has a medium C shape with a thin rosewood veneer board. The guitar plays well and is a decent sounding example of this era of instrument. Obviously it’s been played heavily though, offering a cool vibe all its own.
Ships in a period hardshell Fender case.
