Description
Here is a very nice vintage 1968 Fender Telecaster! This blonde finish guitar is lightweight and features a maple cap fingerboard.
Spec include an ash body, maple neck with no skunk stripe, and a maple fretboard. It has black dot inlays, the larger black Fender Telecaster logo, and F tuning machines. The guitar appears to be all original and in very good condition. The frets show a little wear down low but function correctly. There are a few paint chips around the body edges, as well as light surface scratches. The fingerboard shows wear at the cowboy chords, the headstock shows checking, and the back of the headstock has a little lacquer flaking.
The guitar is very well preserved for its age. It weighs in at 6lbs 13oz making it one of the lightest examples we've seen. The neck measures .860 to .940 at the 1st and 12th. It has a classic medium C shape that is quite comfortable. The guitar is loud and resonant acoustically with tons of sustain. It plays easily in all positions. Sonically it has a nice woody punch off the body with plenty of twang and articulation. We couldn't really ask for more tonally.
Ships in the original hardshell case and includes the bridge cover.
