Description

One of the finest Blackguards we've handled, this 1953 Telecaster has all the mojo you could ask for. This completely original guitar has a neck date of 7-21-53 and a body dating 7-19-53 with Tadeo written in. It's from right in the middle of what most consider to be the finest year for the Telecaster, 1953.

This is not the cleanest one we have seen, but it just looks right in every way. It has light fingerboard and neck wear, nice body checking, some notable dings, and a concentrated area of buckle wear. Clearly this guitar was played, but it was very well cared for. It also appears to have been stored in the original case for a longer period of time as it has just a faint patina over its surface. The original owner's ID number has been lightly etched into the bridge plate.

This guitar sounds fantastic. Vibrant, resonant, twangy, snappy, etc. Everything you'd like to hear from a Blackguard. The pickups are strong and glorious. There's a reason people love these guitars so much, they are simply just a joy to play.

Ships in the original hardshell case and includes the bridge cover.
