Here we have a vintage Fender Stratocaster from 1976! This one features an Olympic White finish and has a really great look.
Specs include an alder body, maple neck, maple board, bullet truss rod adjust, Fender sealed “F” tuners, a tremolo bridge, and a 3-ply black guard. The neck pickup is an original gray bottom, the middle pickup is a vintage DiMarzio with a Patent Applied For sticker, and the bridge pickup is a Fender single coil with the molded base.
This guitar had the bridge pickup routed by hand, we assume to accommodate a humbucker. The 5-way switch looks newer, though the pots look period. The frets show faint wear down low, and they may have been leveled in the past. There is forearm wear, wear at the fingerboard edges, light dings, scratches, and patina across the instrument.
It weighs 9lbs 9oz. The neck measures .830 to .920 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has a medium C carve with a rounded apex and no shoulder. The guitar is well-balanced and has a nice feel. It’s not super resonant with the weight of the body, but it plays quite well and has a slinkiness we enjoy. We dig the pickup combo too, a true DIY job like you often find from this era.
Ships in a molded hardshell case. There is no tremolo arm included.
