Product Description
Here we have an awesome 1965 Fender Stratocaster electric guitar! This one features a factory Olympic White finish.
Specs include an alder body, figured maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, pearl inlays, double line Kluson Deluxe tuners and a tremolo bridge. It has gray bottom pickups, a 3-ply white guard and a 3-way selector switch. It has a September ’65 neck stamp and the pots date to the 10th week of ’65.
This guitar has been well-played but remains a complete instrument. It has been refretted and has a replacement nut. Otherwise the finish and components all appear to be original. The finish has aged nicely to a creamy hue with the original white peaking out in areas of wear. It has plenty of forearm and buck wear, and the back of the neck has a worn-in feel. The hardware and plastic parts also show some age and patina, but fit the vibe perfectly.
This guitar weighs in at 7lbs 13oz. The neck measures .820 to .980 at the 1st and 12th. It has a medium C neck profile that fills out nicely as you approach the heel. The guitar is extremely resonant with a deep acoustic tone off of the body and plenty of natural reverb emanating from within. It’s slinky, twangy and easy to bend on. The pickups are bold with excellent clarity a biting mid range. A cool example that sounds as good as it looks.
Ships in the original hardshell case. Unfortunately, there is no tremolo arm included.
