Product Description
Here we have a vintage 1964 Fender Stratocaster! This is a great playing guitar in very good condition.
Specs include an alder body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, clay dot inlays and mint pickguard. It has single line Kluson Deluxe tuners, an L series neck plate, and a tremolo bridge with “Fender Fender” saddles. It’s loaded with a set of black bottom single coil pickups and has a 3-way selector switch. The neck stamp is April ’64 and the pots date to the 44th week of ’63.
The finish and parts appear to be original. The guitar has light checking on the body and headstock with some light lacquer chips and small dings across the instrument. The back of the neck has subtle wear and the hardware all has a light patina. This guitar appears to have been played carefully over the years but also probably spent a lot of time in the case.
It weighs in at 7lbs 13oz. The neck measures .770 to .950 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has a nice mid-60s neck carve with a medium/thin C carve down low and a fuller oval C feel up towards the neck heel. The guitar plays evenly up and down the neck and is easy to bend on. It has a good acoustic resonance with a touch of natural reverb. The pickups are punchy with a touch of warmth and a shimmering top end.
Ships in the original hardshell case and includes the tremolo arm and bridge cover.
