Description
Here is a nice 1983 Fender Elite I Precision Bass! This USA build features a single pickup, maple fretboard and gold hardware.
Other specs include an alder body, poly finish, 34" scale length, and 1.75" nut width. It has a side mount jack that is set into the body. It has an Elite single coil split P pickup, active electronics, and a TBX tone control.
This one is in good shape overall. It has topical scratching over the back as well as a handful of light dings. There are other scratches and dings on the top too, but the finish on these is quite resilient. The gold hardware shows light wear to the plating as well as some pitting, but looks good. The fine tuners for the bridge saddles are missing. The strap buttons appear to be changed. Otherwise this one looks to be original and in great playing shape.
The bass weighs 8lbs 14oz. The neck measures .800 to .880 at the 1st and 12th. It has an oval C shaped neck that isn't too big and doesn't vary too much as you move up the register. It plays easily in all positions. The bass has loads of sustain with a deep, round sound and good clarity. Really just classic Fender USA P-Bass tone.
Ships in a non original hardshell case.
