Description
Here we have a really nice vintage Fender Jazz Bass in black! This 1974 model is in good condition overall.
Specs include an alder body, maple neck, maple fingerboard, block inlays, bound neck and 4-bolt neck joint. It has a Badass II bridge installed and sports a white pickguard. It’s loaded with dual J pickups.
This original black finish instrument has quite a bit of buckle wear on the back, as well as forearm wear on the top edge. There are dings and scratches over its surface too, but in certain ways it still looks clean. The frets are in good shape and the poly neck remains fairly clean.
This one weighs 9lbs 5oz. The neck measures .860 to .950 at the 1st and 12th frets. The neck profile is a rounded D down low, but smooths into an oval C up high. This is one of the nicer playing basses we’ve had from this era. It has plenty of resonance and sustain, and plays easily in all positions. We love the Badass bridge upgrade, and as far as mid-70s bases go, this one is a fairly good weight.
Ships in a vintage hardshell case. The original bridge and the covers are not included.
