Product Description
Here we have a very cool vintage Tele Custom! This one is built from a 1966 Telecaster neck and a 1966 Custom Telecaster body that were not originally paired together.
The body has been refinished in blonde and has been expertly aged, while the neck retains its original finish and logo. The neck plate, bridge, saddles, and tuners are original to the body and neck. The guard is a modern replacement, the control plate is from the 1980s, and the pickups are a Seymour Duncan Antiquity II Twang Tele set. The neck has been refretted at some point and has a replacement nut.
The guitar weighs in at 7lbs 4oz. The neck measures .870 to .860 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has an oval C neck profile that is naturally worn-in from years of playing and feels great. The depth is a touch larger at the 1st fret where the carve transitions from headstock to neck, but then it stays quite consistent in depth and shape up to the neck heel. The guitar looks fantastic, and sounds just as good. It has excellent clarity and is twangy with warm, woody mids. We think it has an awesome vibe and is really a joy to play.
Ships in a padded gig bag and includes the Seymour Duncan pickup box.
