Description
Here we have an awesome blacked out Fender Custom Shop Dual Mag II Stratocaster! This limited edition model is fully roasted and features a matching painted headstock.
Specs include a roasted alder body, roasted quartersawn maple neck, dark slab rosewood board and clay dot inlays. The electronics include a set of handwound Dual Mag II pickups, 5-way switch and 1/2 blender. It has a compound 9.5" to 12" radius with jumbo 6100 fret wire.
The guitar features a Journeyman Relic treatment package with heavy checking, light dings, and oxidation on the hardware. The finish on the back of the neck has been "worn" at the factory too. This guitar has been played a bit and there are extra pick marks and other signs of use around the knobs and plastic parts. Mostly though the guitar looks factory aged.
It weighs 7lbs 8oz. The neck measures .790 to .930 at the 1st and 12th. It has a 60s oval C profile that is slimmer down low with a touch more shoulder up high, reminiscent of vintage slab board guitars. This one plays well overall, and the neck feels really nice with the worn finish. Being fully roasted, the guitar has more of a mid-range bite to it, with a tight attack and crisp high end. It has good sound movement throughout the body with a touch of natural reverb acoustically. The pickups have an even output across all strings with a nice bluesy sound.
Ships in the original hardshell case and includes the COA, floor traveler, hang tag, tremolo arm, strap, bridge cover, picks, design guide, and other paperwork.
